Here are a couple of handy tools for website planning and testing...

Domain Lookup - Test to see if the domain name you are interested in is available or not.

 

Network Query Tool - Perform a battery of tests on a given domain.

   Check the IP number the domain name resolves to.
   Get the domain's DNS records.
   Perform a Whois search on both the IP number and the domain name.
   Test the domain host's connectivity by port, ping and traceroute.

Convert Case - an incredibly useful tool for correcting capitalization errors.
